Pre-Employment Transition Workshops
To assist more young adults with disabilities, Skills Inc. has partnered with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to offer Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) including workshops and workplace opportunities for eligible students in school districts in South King County and North Pierce County.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
- Workplace Communication
- Job Readiness
- Work-Based Learning Experiences
- Career Exploration
- Building Your Strengths
NO COST TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WHO:
- Are students between the ages of 16-21
- Receive special education services, with an IEP or 504 Plan
- Are currently or potentially an eligible Pre-ETS client
- Are transitioning from school to work

AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING JOB SITE TOURS
Explore the high-tech industry of Aerospace. Skills Inc. is one of Washington’s largest aerospace suppliers and one of very few companies (outside of Boeing) that both fabricates and finishes parts. This work-based learning experience is for students 16-21 with disabilities.

PAID 2-WEEK SUMMER INTERNSHIP
This paid, part-time summer internship is a great way for students to learn about exciting job opportunities in aerospace, explore their interests and abilities, and gain work readiness skills directly from industry professionals.

Session A: June 26 – July 7 (off 7/4)
Session B: July 17 – July 28
Session C: August 7 – August 18

PRE-ETS APPROVAL FORM
Please download and fill out the Pre-ETS Approval Form. Submit your completed form to Abby Smith from DVR at abby.smith@dshs.wa.gov. DVR determines your eligibility. If approved, Skills Inc. confirms your enrollment.
