Pre-Employment Transition Workshops
To assist more young adults with disabilities, Skills Inc. has partnered with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to offer Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) including workshops and workplace opportunities for eligible students in school districts in South King County and North Pierce County.

NO COST TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WHO:
- Are students between the ages of 14-21
- Receive special education services, with an IEP or 504 Plan
- Are currently or potentially an eligible Pre-ETS client
- Are transitioning from school to work
Communicating with confidence is an essential skill for learning and performing work. These workshops will prepare you with practical knowledge, strategies, and mental resilience to take ownership and make informed decisions about your career and life.

Aerospace manufacturing is exciting and for everyone! As one of Washington’s largest aerospace suppliers, Skills Inc. is offering customizable onsite work-based learning experiences for students 14-21 with an IEP, 504 Plan, or documented disability.
Customize a 90 Minute Visit to Skills Inc. for 2-8 Students:
Job Site Tour – See behind-the-scenes of making aircraft parts.
Informational Interview – Speak to an industry professional about their career.
Job Shadow – Shadow an employee and learn about their job.
This paid, part-time summer internship is a great way for students aged 16-21 to learn about exciting job opportunities in aerospace, explore their interests and abilities, and gain work readiness skills directly from industry professionals.
2023 Schedule Options (M-F, 9am-2pm)
Session A: June 26 – July 7 (off 7/4)
Session B: July 17 – July 28
Session C: August 7 – August 18
Please download and fill out the Pre-ETS Approval Form. Submit your completed form to Abby Smith from DVR at firstname.lastname@example.org. DVR determines your eligibility. If approved, Skills Inc. confirms your enrollment.
