Pre-Employment Transition Workshops
To assist more young adults with disabilities, Skills Inc. has partnered with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to offer Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) including workshops and workplace opportunities for eligible students in school districts in South King County and North Pierce County. Registration is now open for upcoming classes.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
- Self-Advocacy Skills
- Workplace Readiness Training
- Work-Based Learning
- Job Exploration
- Building Your Strengths
NO COST TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WHO:
- Are students between the ages of 14-21
- Receive special education services, with an IEP or 504 Plan
- Are currently or potentially an eligible Pre-ETS client
- Are transitioning from school to work

Self-Advocacy Training Online
April 12 – May 12: Mondays & Wednesdays, 1pm – 3pm
Knowing how and when to share details about your disability can improve your educational, employment, and social life. Self-Advocacy Training will prepare you with confidence and strategies to make an informed choice about disclosing your disability.

- Building Personal Strengths
- How & When to Share Your Disability
- Pursuing Independence
- Workplace Success Strategies
Due to COVID restrictions, workshops are currently offered in a virtual/online format. 5 participants minimum. Access to a computer and basic computer literacy skills are needed to participate.
