Nathan Brannon, with his guide dog Mozart, works on our Usability and Compliance team
Today is International Guide Dog Day, which recognizes the importance of guide dogs, who through their service, empower individuals who are blind or have low vision and help them live their daily lives. Guide dogs are carefully trained to avoid obstacles, access public transportation, cross roads safely, and other daily tasks to help their handlers’ particular needs. Below is a brief informational video about assistance and guide dog etiquette.
Skills Inc. would like to specifically acknowledge two of our employees’ guide dogs, Dori and Mozart. Both dogs received formal training at the Oregon campus of Guide Dogs for the Blind and were carefully matched to their owner based on size, lifestyle, energy level, and personalities.
Today not only honors guide dogs but also everyone involved in training and matching guide dogs to their owners. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
