Liquid Penetrant Testing
Liquid Penetrant Testing is a nondestructive (NDT) method of detecting surface flaws and defects. Parts are submerged in a fluorescent penetrant solution, soaked long enough for the liquid to infiltrate any potential cracks or flaws, and then the solution is rinsed off. Fluorescent penetrant will remain in any surface flaws and will be discovered through inspection under ultraviolet light.
Skills Inc. has three Penetrant Testing processing lines located at our Plant 1 facility in Auburn, WA. We partner with leading aerospace and commercial manufacturers to provide the below processes.
