Skills, Inc. prides itself on the strong community relationships developed over the last 40 years. Working together to service a wide range of disabilities, we are able to transform the lives of our constituents and help them develop pride in their accomplishments. Whether people come to learn a skill and move into community employment, or they stay to contribute to the success of our internal team, Skills’ programs deliver. In addition to supporting adults with disabilities, Skills reaches out to high school students with disabilities.

We partner with several local school districts to provide special education vocational training for credit. Skills sits on the student’s Individual Educational Plan Team to tailor a program that will allow students to learn a trade and be successful in school. After graduation, students are either hired, or leave the program with a skill, a resume and letters of recommendation to begin careers in their chosen fields. Many students return after successfully integrating into the adult workforce to thank us for giving them the skills to be successful in the adult world.
